\r\n
\r\n \r\n 1- El solicitante releva al Departamento de Educación de Puerto\r\n Rico de toda responsabilidad por cualquier reclamación que pueda\r\n surgir como consecuencia de las actividades del estudio y de la\r\n información que se solicite y provea por medio de este. El\r\n Departamento de Educación de Puerto Rico no se hace responsable de\r\n cualquier daño y perjuicio o reclamación producto del proceso de\r\n realización, o del resultado de la investigación; se releva, así,\r\n de cualquier obligación y responsabilidad al Departamento de\r\n Educación de Puerto Rico, sus empleados y funcionarios en\r\n cualquier reclamación, pleito o demanda que se presente\r\n relacionada, directa o indirectamente a esta investigación. La\r\n misma es una independiente no auspiciada por el Departamento de\r\n Educación de Puerto Rico. El Departamento de Educación de Puerto\r\n Rico no se solidariza necesariamente con los resultados de la\r\n investigación.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 2- La solicitud de autorización deberá radicarse con los\r\n documentos requeridos seis (6) semanas antes de la fecha en que se\r\n iniciará la investigación o algunas de sus fases relacionadas: la\r\n validación de los instrumentos o la prueba piloto.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 3- El periodo de vigencia de la autorización otorgada para la\r\n validación o prueba piloto será de seis (6) meses y para la\r\n investigación (fase final) será de doce (12) meses de duración a\r\n partir de la fecha de expedición del memorando de autorización.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 4- Si el investigador necesita tiempo adicional para completar las\r\n actividades del estudio, deberá solicitar por escrito una\r\n extensión de tiempo a la oficina que le expidió la autorización:\r\n la División de Investigaciones Pedagógicas (SATPRe) o a la oficina\r\n del Superintendente Regional en el ORE) correspondiente, antes que\r\n finalice la vigencia de la autorización otorgada.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 5- Todos los documentos sometidos deberán incluir la siguiente\r\n cláusula de relevo de responsabilidad del Departamento de\r\n Educación de Puerto Rico: “Se releva al Departamento de Educación\r\n de Puerto Rico de toda responsabilidad por cualquier reclamación\r\n que pueda surgir como consecuencia de las actividades del estudio\r\n y de la información que se solicite y provea por medio de este. El\r\n Departamento de Educación de Puerto Rico no se hace responsable de\r\n cualquier daño y perjuicio o reclamación producto del proceso de\r\n realización, o del resultado de la investigación; se releva, así,\r\n de cualquier obligación y responsabilidad al Departamento de\r\n Educación de Puerto Rico, sus empleados y funcionarios en\r\n cualquier reclamación, pleito o demanda que se presente\r\n relacionada, directa o indirectamente a esta investigación. \r\n \r\n 6- Las hojas de consentimiento informado contiene en cada una de\r\n sus páginas el sello oficial de SATPRe. El investigador se\r\n compromete a reproducirlas sin alterarlas para administrarla a los\r\n participantes de su estudio.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 7- Ninguna persona puede visitar las dependencias del DEPR para\r\n llevar a cabo las actividades de una investigación o sus fases\r\n relacionadas hasta tanto se le haya expedido una autorización\r\n firmada por el secretario auxiliar de SATPRe o por el\r\n superintendente regional a cargo del ORE.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 8- No se autorizará la salida de estudiantes de la escuela para\r\n participar en actividades de investigación o de sus fases\r\n relacionadas: la validación de instrumentos o prueba piloto, ni\r\n para participar en grupos focales.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 9- Durante el inicio y final del semestre académico, periodos de\r\n informes y pruebas sistémicas, no se autorizarán visitas a las\r\n escuelas con el propósito de desarrollar cualquier aspecto de la\r\n investigación o de sus fases relacionadas: la validación de\r\n instrumentos o prueba piloto. Las actividades del estudio no\r\n deberán afectar el período lectivo, ni las evaluaciones académicas\r\n de los estudiantes.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 10- Si el investigador es empleado del Departamento de Educación,\r\n pero no es maestro de la sala de clases, el tiempo que utilice en\r\n horas laborables para realizar asuntos relacionados al desarrollo\r\n de la investigación o sus fases, se descontará de su balance de\r\n vacaciones, ya que realiza esta gestión en su carácter personal.\r\n Si es maestro, deberá coordinar con su director escolar cómo\r\n llevará a cabo la investigación de forma que no se afecte el\r\n tiempo lectivo de los estudiantes.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 11- Todo cambio que realice el investigador, posterior a la\r\n expedición de la autorización para realizar el estudio, deberá\r\n someterlo por escrito a la oficina que le otorgó la autorización\r\n para la evaluación correspondiente, ya sea en la División de\r\n Investigaciones Pedagógicas de SATPRe o en la oficina del\r\n Superintendente Regional (ORE).\r\n
\r\n \r\n 12- Se le notifica al investigador que una vez finalice el estudio\r\n o sus fases, será responsable de subir una copia del trabajo final\r\n en formato digital (.pdf) en esta plataforma identificada como\r\n CIIE (Centro de Investigaciones e Innovaciones Educativas) en la\r\n página del DEPR. De no cumplir con esta disposición, el\r\n investigador se expone a que el DEPR no le autorice futuras\r\n investigaciones hasta cumplir con este requisito.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 13- Con el propósito enriquecer los procesos educativos y de\r\n aportar a otras investigaciones o estudios futuros, la Secretaría\r\n de Transformación, Planificación y Rendimiento (SATPRe) ha\r\n diseñado una Biblioteca Centro de Investigaciones para recopilar\r\n las investigaciones autorizadas por el DEPR. Todo trabajo que sea\r\n entregado como parte de una investigación en el DEPR será\r\n publicado en la Biblioteca Centro de Investigaciones.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 14- El Departamento de Educación no discrimina de ninguna manera\r\n por razón de edad, raza, color, sexo, nacimiento, condición de\r\n veterano, ideología política o religiosa, origen o condición\r\n social, orientación sexual o identidad de género, discapacidad o\r\n impedimento físico o mental; ni por ser víctima de violencia\r\n doméstica, agresión sexual o acecho.\r\n
\r\n \r\n \r\n 1 - The applicant releases the Department of Education of Puerto\r\n Rico from any responsibility for any claims that may arise as a\r\n result of the study's activities and the information requested and\r\n provided through this. The Department of Education of Puerto Rico\r\n is not liable for any damages or claims resulting from the conduct\r\n of the study or the research outcome. Thus, the Department of\r\n Education of Puerto Rico, its employees, and officials are\r\n relieved of any obligation and responsibility in any claims,\r\n lawsuits, or demands related, directly or indirectly, to this\r\n research. The research is independent and not sponsored by the\r\n Department of Education of Puerto Rico. The Department of\r\n Education of Puerto Rico does not necessarily endorse the research\r\n results.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 2 - The authorization request must be submitted with the required\r\n documents six (6) weeks prior to the start date of the research or\r\n any of its related phases: instrument validation or pilot test.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 3 - The validity period of the authorization granted for\r\n validation or pilot testing is six (6) months, and for the\r\n research (final phase), it is twelve (12) months from the date of\r\n issuance of the authorization memorandum.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 4 - If the researcher needs additional time to complete the study\r\n activities, they must submit a written request for a time\r\n extension to the office that issued the authorization: the\r\n Division of Pedagogical Research (SATPRe) or the corresponding\r\n Regional Superintendent's office in the ORE) before the validity\r\n of the granted authorization expires.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 5 - All submitted documents must include the following Department\r\n of Education of Puerto Rico disclaimer clause: \"The Department of\r\n Education of Puerto Rico is released from any responsibility for\r\n any claims that may arise as a result of the study's activities\r\n and the information requested and provided through this. \r\n \r\n 6 - The informed consent forms contain the official SATPRe seal on\r\n each page. The researcher agrees to reproduce them without\r\n alterations to administer them to the participants of their study.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 7 - No person can visit DEPR premises to carry out research\r\n activities or its related phases until they have been issued an\r\n authorization signed by the Assistant Secretary of SATPRe or the\r\n Regional Superintendent in charge of the ORE.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 8 - Students are not authorized to leave school to participate in\r\n research activities or its related phases, including instrument\r\n validation or pilot testing, or to participate in focus groups.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 9 - During the start and end of the academic semester, reporting\r\n periods, and systemic testing periods, visits to schools for the\r\n purpose of developing any aspect of the research or its related\r\n phases, including instrument validation or pilot testing, will not\r\n be authorized. The study activities should not affect the\r\n instructional period or the academic evaluations of students.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 10 - If the researcher is an employee of the Department of\r\n Education but not a classroom teacher, the time spent during\r\n working hours for research-related matters will be deducted from\r\n their vacation balance, as this is considered personal business.\r\n If they are a teacher, they must coordinate with their school\r\n principal on how to conduct the research in a way that does not\r\n interfere with students' instructional time.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 11 - Any changes made by the researcher after the authorization\r\n for the study has been issued must be submitted in writing to the\r\n office that granted the authorization for the corresponding\r\n evaluation, either to the Division of Pedagogical Research at\r\n SATPRe or to the Regional Superintendent's office (ORE).\r\n
\r\n \r\n 12 - The researcher is notified that upon completion of the study\r\n or its phases, they are responsible for uploading a copy of the\r\n final work in digital format (.pdf) on this platform identified as\r\n CIIE (Center for Educational Research and Innovation) on the DEPR\r\n website. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in the\r\n DEPR not authorizing future research until it is fulfilled.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 13 - With the aim of enriching educational processes and\r\n contributing to other future research or studies, the Secretary of\r\n Transformation, Planning, and Performance (SATPRe) has designed a\r\n Research Center Library to compile research authorized by the\r\n DEPR. Any work submitted as part of research at the DEPR will be\r\n published in the Research Center Library.\r\n
\r\n \r\n 14 - The Department of Education does not discriminate in any way\r\n based on age, race, color, sex, birth, veteran status, political\r\n or religious ideology, origin or social status, sexual orientation\r\n or gender identity, disability or physical or mental impairment,\r\n or being a victim of domestic violence, sexual assault, or\r\n stalking.\r\n
